About College
Badrinarayan Barwale Mahavidyalaya, Jalna was established in 1993 with the inspiration of Honorable late Dr. Badrinarayanji Barwale and late Shri Vasantraoji Deshpande. The college was started with the objective of making society well educated and self-dependent. With the firm belief that man can uplift himself socially and economically if he is literate, the institution intends to give quality education to needy ones. We have about 7 acres of campus.
Today, Badrinarayan Barwale Mahavidyalaya is one of the best educational institutions in the region working for the building of nation. We, the members of this institution always try to create genuine atmosphere of well being and cooperation in the field of knowledge. We have a strong belief that in the development of nation, the development of human resource is important and consider it our duty to develop every aspect of our students. We consider students’ activities, their creativity aspirations, and commitment for nation as the foundation for educational development. We also work with a view that education is capable of making a man self-confident. Therefore, we strongly believe in “Excellence Through Education”.
We consider students as a center point of our educational activities. We give importance to the proper and healthy communication among parents, teachers, management and government.
Current era is of Information technology and Biotechnology. In order to cater the needs of this era we started Computer Science and Microbiology as optional subjects in the year 1993 itself. We also started graduation and post graduation course in Biotechnology in the year 2001, to meet the growing needs of biotech personals in this area.

Ours is an eminent college for its excellence in teaching, learning and discipline, pursuing its goal “Excellence Through Education”. Admissions for UG program are given on ‘first come first serve basis’, while for PG through special entrance test keeping in view Government of Maharashtra and Dr. B.M.A.U. norms.
The admitted students are assessed through periodic tests, seminars, term exams, viva voce, informal discussions, projects and university theory/practical examinations. The educationally disadvantaged students are personally encouraged and motivated by providing them books and assessing the questions solved by them with the proper remarks.
Advanced learners are challenged to work ahead of the rest by a) Frequently monitoring their progress and providing them books from Teachers Book Bank. b) Carrying on discussions in and outside the classroom through their associations for clearing doubts and solving the problem they face in studies. c) Making them aware of various career prospects, competitive exams and upcoming disciplines. d) Encouraging them to write articles for wall magazines. e) Motivating them to actively participate in extracurricular activities likes sports, NSS, Cultural and extension work.
