Department of Mathematics

Department of Mathematics was established along with the establishment of college in June 1993. Mathematics is one of the core subjects for undergraduate students. Department of Mathematics conducts unit tests on each topic prescribed for syllabus for B.Sc.I,II,III and seminars for B.Sc.III year students specially. Since 2012 Department of Mathematics has been involved in Ramanujan competition for mathematical knowledge test which is organized by Marathwada Mathematical Society, Chhatarapati Sambhajinagar. Our college is center for this exam. Our students have been participating and getting prizes in the same. Every year Marathwada Mathematical Society, Chhatarapati Sambhajinagar organizes the seminar competition. Our students got prizes in this seminar competition. Department organizes lectures on banking examinations on regular basis. As a result of this many of our students got selected and have been working in Nationalized and Private Banks as Probationary Officers and clerks. Many of our students have been working as Assistant professors in different colleges. Many of our students have been working as teachers in Junior Colleges and High schools and in the Department of statistics, Govt. of Maharashtra and Govt. of India.18 alumni of the department passed NET/SET examinations in Mathematics. In 2019- 20 Ajit Chavan of our department got Gold medal for securing highest marks in B.Sc. Mathematics.
